There are various ethnic groups in Indonesia such as Acehnese,Mandailing,Javanese,Bugis, to name a few and is rich in heritage and culture.The culture includes the Tortor dance,and the Gordang Sambilan percussion instrument from Mandiling,North Sumatra,Sundanese traditional musical instrument the Angklung made of bamboo ,Pendant a Balinese dance,Topeng Dalang from Madura.Then comes the Rasa Sayange music from Amaban,Maluku and the famous Adan Krayan rice from Nunukan East Kalimantan.Follows the masked dance Reog which originates from Ponoroga ,East Java and the famous Batik artwork on clothes all part of Indonesian national Heritage and culture.

No wonder whole of Indonesia is littered with this culture in all walks of life be it a house,school,a worship place and so on.The capital Jakarta has its own culture named Betawi after its original old name of Betavia under Dutch administration.This culture is a mix of Arab,Chinese,Dutch,Portuguese with native elements of Malay and Sundanese.

The native people still maintain their identity with their traditional garments and live in big bamboo made houses the replicas can be seen the local museums.The tribes living places are located near river basins and in mountains.The locals still maintain the Debus martial art,dance,music and magic.All this are featured in their places of living be it a corn storage or a look out in the fields.

In some of Indonesia areas are rich in mythical and spiritualism and hence many of the spirit faces are carved and in one place it was structure in a way one can use it as step to climb to the another level. The creativity and ingenuity of the people and their traditions make you wonder that what we see cannot be believed at all and there is another side which takes you to a mystic journey in the universe which will not be experienced unless you start travelling and exploring and reading.
